Sixteenth century Hungarian silver goblet

Description

Ca 1570 silver gilt goblet with a cast and chased foot/ detachable / and a flaring out drinking bowl with engraved decoration. Marked on the underside with a capital letter “R” in a shaped shield. Very similar silvermarks were used in Nagyszeben / Transylvania/ in the late sixteenth century but this particular one is not listed in Koszeghy. /
