Silver Scissors Case
Description
Silver scissors case ca 1710-20. Dutch or English. In the late seventeenth century 500 000 French Protestants left France fleeing religious persecution. Many of them settled in England and Holland. These Huguenots brought with them a wealth of talent and some of the best silversmith at the time came from Huguenots background. These small items of silver ware with exquisite engraving were typical Huguenot work.
No scissors, case only.
