Italian silver coffee pot

Description

Antique silver coffee pot, with the original carved handle. The pot in hall marked on the underside with the mark of Spoleto. Ca 1740.The cast spout is engraved with the arms of the Morandi family.The design originas in China , the shape travelled to Persia in the sixteenth and seventeenth century and arrived in Venice where some similar wine ewers were made in ca 1700-1720.
