Silver and rock crystal reliquary

Description

Ca 1650 silver mounted heart shaped rock crystal reliquary. The relique is still intact and clearly visible from the front of the pendant. Reliquaries were like portable medicines since they were worn as a protection against the evil eye or the devil, or just served as “protection”.
